Linda and John’s Wedding

My hands tremble
my knees get weak
every time you are close to me
this don’t happen everyday
and I’d be a fool to let you walk away

and all these things make me believe that we were meant to be
cause I dont wanna be lonely
just be my one and only
cause I want you to see

that all I want is you
to rock me through the night
tell me its okay
when things don’t go so right
I know I haven’t found you
but I still believe
that one day I will wake up
and you’ll be next to me
cause all I want is you

~Michael Warren “You”

John and Linda’s wedding in Georgetown, CO was definitely one of the highlights of 2011!  While I adore every wedding I get to be a part of, there are always a few that stand out for one reason or another.   Part of it was the location–Shadows Ranch  is where I got married so as you can imagine it will always hold a special place in my heart, the other part was John and Linda themselves.  Not only are they absolutely a blast to be around (you can’t help but laugh when you’re with them) they also have incredible friends and family that completely adore them.   How could you not?  They’re ridiculously fun, crazy, loving people who made the day not just about them but also did so many things to honor their friends and family who came to the wedding.

Before the wedding they held a traditional chinese tea ceremony

Love Love Love the shoes!!

It definitely rained before the wedding which is always good luck!

Mark and Kim Wedding

Joe and I have known Mark and Kim since college and I have to say that I think they are absolutely perfect for each other!  The wedding and reception were sooo much fun!  They couldn’t have asked for a better day to get married.   The ceremony took place at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church in Aurora, CO and all I can say about that church is wow!  What a incredibly gorgeous church!  The perfect setting for a wedding!  The reception was at a new art gallery/ event space in Denver called District 475.   If you’re looking for a place to hold your reception then this is the place.  Check out the link above.  Come on guys…  Who wouldn’t want to have a reception at an art gallery?

Mark and Kim, we wish you the best and thank you for letting us be a part of such a fun event!

The Dress

Kim, you were/are gorgeous inside and out!

Our Lady of Loreto.  Amazing!

I just love having super athletic wedding parties!  The pictures are ridiculously fun!

Kim is an amazing baker/chef and made her own wedding cake and wedding treats.  Not only were they gluten free, they were delicious!  Check out her blog for the best gluten free recipes:  http://simpleginger.com/

The Great Wall of China!!!

Earlier this year my husband Joe and I traveled to Korea and China and spent two weeks taking in all the sites and the culture.  I haven’t posted any photos on the blog yet because well frankly, the amount of photos I took was overwhelming!  I will post photos of the trip soon but until then here is a video of the radest day-long hike  we’ve ever done at the Great Wall.

Enjoy!!

The Icarus Account

I had soooo much fun with these two!  John and Linda definitely know how to have a good time in any situation, and they are ridiculously good at hamming-it-up in front of the camera (Which I always love and encourage!)  We  met up at Red Rocks to start the day off and it was gorgeous.  Linda decided to surprise John by not only taking pictures at Red Rocks but then heading to Don’s Tavern  (John’s favorite bar) and taking even more pictures there!  These two not only adore each other, they also have hands-down the best time with each other no matter what they are doing!  I am super excited for the wedding!  Congrats guys!

Music Mondays – Amos Lee

This week’s featured artist/song has more a folk/jazz/soul vibe.  I’ve been in love with Amos Lee’s voice for quite some time now.   I don’t even remember when I first heard his music but it’s been a staple in my musical diet ever since.   He and Joe Purdy just seem to have songs that match  up with every point in my life.

I made the video below for my husband Joe.  Our dog Lainey thinks that Joe is God, and when he’s gone she mopes around the house acting all depressed.  I had to make a video to show Joe!  It was too funny!  The music is Sweat Pea by Amos Lee.

Sweet Pea is a great song but my favorite so far is “Keep it loose”.  Check him out here:  http://amoslee.com/ and buy his albums.  You absolutely won’t regret it!

Happy Monday!
